Herter Arrows? (pix)

Hey guys my buddy bought the following arrows and a 64 Kodiak for $20 from an old Gent a few weeks ago.  He wasd wondering what the value of these arrows is?  If they aren't anything special he wants to shoot them but if they are something decent he will hold on to them.  Enjoy the pix...

Definitely Herter's broadheads. I've got some I bought in 1967 or 68.  They are heavy and, because of the shape, hard to sharpen.  Supposed to be good steel, just awkward for a file.  Looks like they still have paint on the edges, never even filed.

Only 2 or 3 have been shot but none of them have ever been sharpened.  

Are they considered a collectors item or of value or can these things be shot?  

If they can be shot I'll put an edge on em for my body for some turkey hunting if not they will get stored.

yea he stepped in the proverbial $hit with this deal!  I was going to buy it off of him but when he said he wanted to learn to shoot traditional archery it was more of a win for me!  I fixed him up with a dozen 2016s and he is on his way already!

Those are a good broadhead , but as previously stated can be hard to sharpen because of the fixed four blades. If the spine on the arrows will work with his bow then shoot them! They are cedar from when cedar was really good stuff.
