Fred Bear Bowhunter's Kit
« on: April 05, 2009, 02:20:00 AM »
I just picked up a Fred Bear Bowhunter's Kit for my Bear Collection with the running Bear logo on the sheath, The Knive is model #648 and has a brown handle Bear file and a Norton stone. Can anyone tell me about this kit ? Was this kit made before 1957 and was 1957 the first time the kit was put in the catalog ?

There are several threads here dedicated to the bowhunter knife and file kit.  Did you try a search?

Recently one like that (I think) sold for $450.00 plus on the big auction site.

Got any pics?

I will try to post some pics. This Kit came out of a estate sell in the Western USA. Thanks Trap I'll try a search.
