Seen and shot most of them Hud and was familiar with the others. Some real interesting and creative designs as well as some very solid performers that are still in wide-spread use. Nice post.                        Grant

I have several of those including Sabo, Staghorn, Wing, and others.  Most of the radical designs never cought on...of cours that is what we all also said when them new fangled thangs came out from Allen with all them wheels, pullys, and cables.

Doing a little digging on some Staghorn bows that I have acquired led me to this old thread.  Some facinating and cool bows in the link!

I have a Sabo recurve that I picked up at a yard sale here in Michigan. Any history of the Sabo Archery Co?

Hud -

Some cool bows.

The Bear Archery Mag TD Ad was not 1960 as the "History" page states...

"History" is the written word, not the artifact.

Inaccurate statements like this "1960" caption are "Fiction", rather than "History".

I would encourage you to contact the originator of the web page and have them change their error to correctly state the accurate history of the date of the ad.

There is so much misinformation on the web that continues to perpetuate itself, that many neophytes can't tell the facts from the fiction.
