 Here's a Tamerlane from 1966,same year as yours.It also has the same brown glass as the Kodiak Hunter No.011 above.Grip appears to be about the same shape as yours which I've seen on a few other Tamerlanes,probably Bill Stewart inspired.

Neat Stuff John...

I could see benefits with this kind of a grip setup on the target bows. The Tamerlane and the HC30 were noted for being top shooting tournament score producers in their time. (Still nice shooting bows)

Appreciate the Bill Stewart inside perspective!

John, I like the 48# as the 60# will kill your fingers, and shake the heck out of you. I owned a SKM in that 60# range and had to let it go. The lower weights are so much better with those short little things.
