Good Finish for Repairs

I have a couple of bows I'd like to do some "spot repairs" on. What's a good spray on satin finish to use?

Helmsman's marine spar varnish has always worked for me.
There's something about holding a longbow in your hand!

Birchwood & Casey Tru Oil Gun Stock finish.Good for gun stocks gotta be good for bows.bd
