« on: October 14, 2009, 01:48:00 PM »
Just went thru the post on leather grip griz's.I have a double shelf static, red glass, and now see it's a 1954. My question is I have it's twin brother in color, lenght, dbl shelf--and it is a longbow! It only has decals on the back but no decals with a model name.Does anyone know what this longbow model was called??  64"-55# serial number  LB797   Thanks ahead, how many out there?  Dick

Hi Dick,
I would think that it is a Polar.
Do you have the Bear Catalog CD?

Dick - Ron is correct it is a Polar

If you check the Polar Identification Guide here on TradGang it will probably answer most of your questions about the longbow style Polars.
