I'm sure this has been gone over before but I couldn't find it in a search.I am refinishing a Bear "A" mag riser,1972 vintage that has been stripped to bare metal.Do you pros have a recommendation for primer and paint?

Are you using spray equipment or a rattle can? Either way look to the local Auto Body supply for a self etching primer that does not need to be sanded unless you have defects to fill. You can use many different types of topcoat. Keep in mind that most are harmfull and require a respirator. Use a single stage type not base coat clear coat for ease of application. Above all follow the advice on the tip sheet from the manafacture.
