Pearson Stallion

Folks,

I picked up a 62" Pearson Stallion at a gun show this weekend for $20.  It needs to be refinished but I was wondering if anyone could date this bow.  Serial number is 10-510 and it is a 710 model.  Green glass on one side and red on the other.  I am guessing 1964 or 65.  Any help would be most apprecited.

Not sure on the date, but I took my first deer with a Pearson Stallion 62", 60# that I bought at a flea market for $18.00. Complete pass-through with an old tan Razorhead on POC shaft. Thanks for jogging my memory!

Well I guess inflation has pushed it up $2.

Like the Mustang, the Stallions had two different styles.  The earlier models had no  "horns" or integral stableisers.  They were made semilar to a grizzly or Pearson hunter or Red Wing hunter.   The later models had the intgral stabelisers semilar to the later Colt,

Ben Pearson experts might be able to date it by serial numbers but we really need pictures.

Integral stabelisers = mid '60's and later.

No inegral stabelizers = early '60's

But that is just my best guess.

Pearson's changed from 9XX model numbers to 7XX  in 1964.  They changed to a 4 digit number, 7XX0 (usually) in 1968.  Your bow was made from 1964 to 1967.

It has integral stablizers (horns) and is a really nice bow to shoot.

Ben Pearson changed to the "horn" style in 1964 for most of the models.
