How many people actually attend this shoot?  I have heard in the range of 5000.  That just seems like to many people, but I could be wrong, I have never attended yet

It seems as though G Fred told me it had increased about 1,000 folks a year except the last two, which have been around the 6,000 mark.

Oh, and about "too many people"...as big as it is it isn't what I'd consider crowded at all.  Well, that is as far as shooting and browsing.  But if you want a camp spot anywhere around the perimeter (in any shade), you need to be there pretty early.  The camping field is pretty tight.
