Glad you passed it on.  My reproduction was not nearly as good as the original.

Here is the Jack Howard Supreme target model recurve.

Jack used his standard Gamaster form, different handle wood, different color plastic in the handle and then added ovrlays.

If anyone knows of the existance of one of these bows many of us Howard fans would love to see it.

Thanks for posting kelly

I have to correct you on one point though.  Many of us Howard fan would "kill to own it".

In the picture, the two on the right are the original Gamemaster.  As Kelly said, it is the base model for the Target Supreme.  Looking at the target bow you can see the gamemaster in there.

So you see...it does exist...or at least it did.

Kelly...is that red section plastic, or is it African Vermillion?

The red section is plastic-same as the black section is plastic. Suspect it had the steel rod insert, too.

Believe the wood section is the dark colored, highly figured Brazilian rosewood. The Supreme also differs from the Gamemaster by having white glass on both sides of limbs.

My guess if there is actually a Supreme in existance it would be somewhere in California for that state was loaded with target archers back in the early 1960's, when I suspect this model was made.

Wonder if Fred Carty from Vermont ever owned or saw one?

I lost Freds contact info when my laptop died.

Otherwise I would call or e-mail him

Once in a very great while he still sells a bow on that auction site. Other than that one might be able to find contact info on the white pages.com. Since I sold my archery business don't have his info anymore.

He has a blond Tamerlane up right now, but there is no button for "ask seller a question"

Can't seem to find it. Sometimes the ask seller button is at the bottom of the listing.

For sentimental reasons I'd like some of the bows I hunted with as a boy back in the 1960s. Since my reentry back into bowhunting 8-9 years ago I've probably owned a hundred+ different bows. After awhile, they all become just another bow.  Some are better than others but if I'm doing my part they'll all shoot pretty well.

Doug

I think most of our Holy Grailes are from back when we were young'uns.
