Sounds high for a Cougar.

You can get Cougars all day long on e8ay for less than that including $20 shipping.

I would call it a $40 bow.

The Cougar is a plain Jane semi=recurve that was an affordable shooter in the '60's.

Nothing really stallar about them

Condition is very important and without pictures it is hard to put a number on it.

Go to e8ay and searc for one in the comp;lested items section.  You will see what others have sold for

keep in mind that this is one guys opinion.. Others may differ.

I'm not a Cougar fan either (Go Huskies!   :D  ).  However, they are not bad shooters and for someone's first bow or for one on a tight budget, it will do.

Add another $20 and you can find Bear Grizzlies that are far superior.

The last 10 Courgars on **** went $21.50 to $110.00

with the average going for $55.91.

$55.00 is about  what I would think the average Cougar is worth

Thanks a lot guys. I've got an older kodiak t/d handed down from my dad but I was looking for a "beater" to take bowfishin' and whatnot so I don't have to take the kodiak anymore. Speaking of the Kodiak: can anyone help me put a year to it? It is a Custom Kodiak T/D with B-5567 on the lower riser. I have no idea.

I believe that would be a green stripe riser mid to late 80's probally the tiger riser which looks more like multi stripes or layers of wood. But if has multi colors of purple, brown and maple showing it would be early 80's to mid 80's. You might ask the gang on a post as they can get pretty close be serial #

Well done sir!!! It does have the green stripe running through the riser, however that is the only color besides brown.
