Vintage Longbow ID Help
« on: September 15, 2010, 02:44:00 PM »
Ran across these two bows for sale on a local classifieds site. The seller says one is bamboo backed the other is all wood. He says there are no markings on the bows whatsoever. He just emailed me these pics. Any idea of the maker?

Nick,

Lots of similar looking 4H project bows out there that look about the same design and vintage. Could be a couple of those.

Nick, For as much as I know they could be something special from a long lost bowyer. I wouldn't take my word for it.

The leather grip on the first one looks pretty good for a project bow,, Also it has a strong resemblance of Howard Hill's bow.. Is that the one with bamboo backing?
