Bear Whitetail Hunter- Recurve?
« on: September 19, 2010, 09:37:00 AM »
I posted this on the Pow Wow but will try here too.
A friend of mine says he has a Bear Whitetail Hunter Recurve.  I'm familiar with the popular old Whitetail Hunter compound but never heard of a recurve. Is there such an animal?

I agree with Jim...however, we have seen some strange unexpected stuff pop up here.

Follow it up and see what he has.  You never know. Bear may have put the name "Whitetail Hunter" on some recurve they built for Sears, Monky Ward, or someone else.

Still worth following up just in case.

It maybe a white tail II wheely, I got one it has recurve limbs with mild cams. Killed a few deer with it but it gathers dust now as I went traditional.

Is it a... BEAR ...whitetail hunter recurve? If so, like Raineman says, "Please post some pictures" as I would like to see this one.

...no worry...remember it was Columbus in 1492 who was sure he would land in Asia if he sailed West.

That's how you learn and become more knowleable.  Make mistakes and learn from them.

Your claim did chellenge our thinking and as potential know it alls we stood firm on the fact that the bow did not exist.  This time we were proven right, but there have been times when many of us, including me, have been proven wrong.  And you know something...that's how we learn too.

Thnks for the challenge.

pearl : dont feel bad , im currently (sort of) in the process of (thinking about) converting a whitetail hunter into a trad bow. i dont know that it will be easily taken down , but like i said , im still thinking of a way to not have to use ilf limbs , then i will have to get all the bear whitetail hunters and all the bows that arent good for wharf bows , and make them into ... barf bows...
