My first real bow was a DH Coronado.  Did a lot with that bow.  Still have a newer Super Diablo.

Here is 90% of the Howatt collection. Hard to tell what some of the back ones are, sorry. Jim

Brand new Martin marked Ventura on the bay. Just as much a DH bow as any, with an interesting twist. If it was a lefty it would no longer be available.

I set out a while ago to reduce my herd of 40 bows...And I am finally down to 42

Hey guys, long time no post!!
I am refinishing my 1st Howatt,I traded with Ray Roan for her.
Howatt Matador with VTC
ELMX-058E
70"
Solid plain Jane maple riser, dyed ebony with black limbs with a slightly modified grip.
It is rumored to have won a state championship before becoming someones pin cushion, then neglected in the back on a pick up truck or something similar
I have plugged 8 screw holes and plugged 4 inserts.
She is not ever going to win a beauty contest but since I don't have one, it will be great in the quiver

I will post pictures before and after when it is finished drying.

Anyone help with the serial # I think its a 1960, anyone know who the boyer was?

Merry Christmas to all

I just took the rosewood/green glass '62 Hunter 41#, to the range.
What a great bow!
I also shoot a modern Wes Wallace longbow, with  a FF string.
and I have to say, the DH Hunter feels as fast. Throws the arrows like darts.

Hey Kurt! Good to see you around. I was afraid you'd turned commercial fisherman and quit slinging arrows LOL.
Jim, very nice collection!
Got a few Hunters and Hi-speeds in different weights. I could very easily carry them exclusively.( Nahh, bad idea)

Lot of pretty bows there
I don't get to shoot as much as I would like, but still have a few oldies I am refinishing and will always sling some arrows.

My Matador refinish came out like crap, milky cloudy and blotchy, so I took it back down to bare wood and re-stained it, and am putting on the 1st coat, I had been using Min Wax Wipe On Poly and liked it, but since I can't buy it anymore tried Fast Drying Poly and it sucked, so am using up the last of my wipe on

They just closed a bunch of local coastal fishing spots to all fishing, trying to make money in a small boat might be a thing of the past here.
Big brother in the form of NOAA is a very scary reality on both our coasts.

Happy New Year to everyone!!
