Local bowyers
« on: February 25, 2011, 01:11:00 AM »
Hi I just learned how to use photobucket so I thought I would try to id some bows. This one says Marz Wolverine AC152 53" 56#.I bought this from my neighbor and he said it was made in Gerry,N.Y.in the mid 70s by a custom bowyer. He said Marz was the bowyers last name.Has anybody heard of him?I am trying to collect bows from local bowyers and learn as much as I can about them.T
 hanks.

I have heard of that manufacturer but know  nothing beyond that they do come up on eb*y often enough that I have seen several different models.Good luck with your local collection, keep your eyes open and get on the bow as soon as you find it I collect bows made in WV,and have 4 of the 6 companies that I know of that made bows in WV,the 4 that I do have are the only ones I've ever lucked across but the companies are pretty obscure.
