Walter L. Miller,Toxhorn inventor/supplier, described and made one of the first if not the first, plastic faced bow with Toxhorn in 1941. During the War he only had sufficient material to supply one tackle maker to produce Toxhorn bows on a limited scale. In all my material on Miller, I've yet to uncover who it was. He noted these bows were not advertised during the War.
Maybe someone here has verifiable evidence of early 1940s Toxhorn faced bows and the maker. If anyone has an idea of who it might have been, I'd appreciate the information.
On another note, I'm curious how many here may have a copy of Miller's book, "Making Modern Composite Bows?" I've a copy of the 1958 Edition but have never seen the original 1957 American Edition.
