Kodiak Special Question

A Good friend of mine found a KS at a flea market,He knows how much I like them,and he also knows bows well.The question is he said it is a 59er #50 @ 28" 66" long,and said the riser is zebrawood,now I know the  61 had zebra wood,cause I have three of them,is this also true on the 59er? One thing I do know is he said it is in great shape,and its in the mail to my house,God has blessed me once again,with another KS and a Great Friend.God Bless!!Joey

Yes Wade I did look,mabey its a 1960 KS Delux.I will let you guys no when I get it,and will try to post some pictures,I hope its a Delux.Wade are the Delux hard to come by? Thanks and God Bless!!Joey

 Congatulations! The 1960 Kodiak Special Deluxe and the Kodiak Deluxe are hard bows to come by. You have a great friend there. I hope you post some pictures when you get it.

Update,I got the bow yesterday,it is a 1961,but still a great find,its in great shape and you cant even see any stress lines,and best of all its #50 .Hard to find these old bows in this wt.I am very happy,Thank you Robert

I am in the middle of a frustrating situation right now where I made an offer on a 62, got a counter offer, and agree to that. Now the seller has completely discontinued contact.

Do not mind someone changing their mind on a deal, that is part of doing business. What I do mind is not knowing.

So looks like I am still looking for a 1962 shooter.

And having to settle for a 61 KS with no stress lines as a gift, especially a 50 pounder, is cause for great happiness. If it was my friend I would be buying his Christmas present about now.

And btw Jack, I am thinking that you and I are maybe getting a bit of a reputation for being a little less than serious at times, which in a world where a lot of traditional shooters seem to be walking around with a rather long solid object rammed up their posterior, is a good thing.
