Can someone help me date this?
« on: June 25, 2011, 12:50:00 PM »
This may be my next purchase i have to go sell off a couple old Browning A-5 Shotguns to get this  before it is gone, it says it is a 59' but i haven't got much experience with the older ones, it looks in good shape

Looks like a beauty!

I don't know if it is worth a few Browning shotguns though!

they are nice shotguns these are middle 50's era with the round knob stocks, i picked them up at the Gun Shop i worked at, it is so much easier to shoot my bow all day that, i have not even fired the 12ga. since i owned it, the sweet sixteen was a great find they do not bring much here in Maine but on GB they bring a nice premium.

I'm with a few others, this is a nice bow but dollar-wise it's not near the value of a Browning shotgun.

I sold one a few months back (not quite this clean) and I think I got $120 for it.

well i am cheap, i like to get stuff for as little money as possible, and i haven't made a offer yet on it, i would like to think i could get it for around 2 and have a chunk of change left over to gear up for a pile of others good buys that are out there right now, i have never seen so many good pieces coming out of corners and closets everywhere, when i was employed at the gun shop we were seeing piece that would just make you in aww when they walked through the door, i get a pile of money built up in my paypal and then i go on a shopping spree and then it gets low i start unloading things i have bought to sell.

I been watching this for about a month now and the reason for asking was people like you guys here that have bought and sold them, i don't mind paying a little premium if it is something i really want, my other post on here i picked up a Kodiak Hunter and a Kodiak Super that i payed a real good price for, they were un-fired and still had the stickers on the and i gave as much for both as i would of a New Bear Super Kodiak, i looked at them and thought the Super looked better than the newer model and the Kodiak Hunter was as clean as a new bow on the shelf today, the bad part of today is if you see a good deal you have to jump right on them because they don't last long.

I have 2, a 58 that is 45# in mint with the quiver and original dozen arrows that came with it and a 55# that needs cleaning up but still a shooter. I got both of them for $400, that still wouldn't touch the Brownings
