Rewriting serial number

I just refinished my 62' K-Mag,beautiful rosewood under all that faded wood but now i have a dilema,i tried to leave the bow info. intact but it would have been lighter in color on the riser in that spot,so the bow info. had to be removed,i took a pic. of it and wrote down the info.Now what type of pen or what should use to rewrite the info. back on the bow.Thanks,Rich

Richard - I've been using an extra fine point Sharpie paint pen and have been happy with it.  I picked up a black and white one at Hobby Lobby.  India ink works also but I find the paint pen easier to work with.

JJB,That's what i just used and though it may not look like it did from the production line it looks quite well,It's really difficult to try and match the original person writing unless your trained in that feid of work.Thanks for your reply though,Rich

Rich,  Here's the 1958 Kodiak I refinished awhile back.  Like you, I also took a picture of the bow info and also used clear contact paper and traced over the info to get the size and style.  During the refinishing process I then recopied it on the bow.  Like jay, I went to Hobby Lobby, but I used a Faber-Castell PITT Artist pen with an extra superfine tip.

If the writing is black I use the Sakura Micron pens found at most hobby / art stores.  It is fairly inexpensive and avaiable in a variety of tip sizes.
