I'm working on getting my 64" Super K set up for hunting and just finished mounting a vintage quiver.  This one has the spring bracket at top and then screws into the stabilizer bushing. I've always read how these quivers are very noisy. My experience so far is that this is the quietest bow quiver I've ever used. I did have to use some small pieces of leather in two places to dampen vibration but that was all.  I have a vintage top and bottom spring Bear quiver that I am considering using on my Black Widow. I am really impressed with these old quivers.

It's the only quiver I use. I think the double spring arm "might" be noiser than the one with the bottom screw bracket, only because there might be a little more vibration, but I love them. I use both the 4 and eight arrrow models. Just think of all the animals Fred shot with these "noisy" quiver's !!

I was willing to put up with a little noise because my circa 1970 Super K demanded a vintage quiver. I was really not expecting this quiver to be this quiet. I don't shoot my Black Widow with a quiver attached. I use a Kwickee quiver and have a bracket on my climber to attach the quiver while hunting. After using these old quivers I may just change my mind.

oh yeah the bolt to the stabilizer bushing ? was the bear adapter kit and yes I agree 110% with you.The stablizer bushing kit and upper spring arm bear quiver is the best and do not make much if any quiver noise.Thats the normal quiver on all my bear bows.But most of all ? I really love that style on my bear take downs bd

It's all I use on my vintage-bear T/D bows.
I like the 4 arrow version. Pretty quiet quiver considering the technology at that time.
He never heard noise from it.......

The Original Bear Quiver (the 1940s Scabbard Bow Quiver) had just the screw in bushing at the base and it did vibrate as the upper part of quiver was not secured to anything.

In the mid 1950s the screw in Leather Cap was introduced and still vibrated.

Then later, the addition of the spring arm bracket to attach the upper part of quiver to the top limb eliminated the vibration for the screw in model.

If you are using an old screw in Leather Cap, you can add a spring arm to make it quiet.

The double spring arm was made in two sizes to accommodate most hunting bows. You may need to bend the brackets around to get them to fit to become quiet.

Bear's Green Cap bow quivers have an adjustable spring arm, which when adjusted correctly should eliminate any noise.

Very quiet with a little work. These 40-50 year old quivers can be rebuilt with new grippers, new hood foam and even some spray-on rubber dip to rejuvenate the coating on the springarms.  Even the replacement of rivets are necessary on some to make them woods worthy.  Alot of trouble?  Yeah  Worth it? Absolutely

This is a 4-Arrow Bear Green Cap Quiver on a first year Bear A Take-Down Riser with a turkey that had the bad judgement to step in the path of one of my normally misdirected arrows on Oct 16, 2011.

There is an interesting story, which I have on video tape, about the Door Handle.

This is Nebraska's most famous Bowhunting Cabin, frequented in the past by traditional bowhunting legends Fred Bear & Glenn St. Charles as well as many others.
