Lots of images of the Bear Bowhunters Kit on various threads on this Forum. Just do a search on Bowhunters Kit..

This is one of many links to Bear Bowhunters Kit images...

Guess the only thing missing from the page on this link...

        http://tradgang.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=14;t=001473;p=2#000016

... is the Protective Sleeve that covers the Bowhunters Kit ...

Same Protective Sleeve principle as the Bear Razorheads from the 1950s and 1960s.

Doc -

Your homemade set is as good as any replica set that I have ever seen.

I was working with a guy a couple months ago to do the leather work for me.But with things screwed up here for a bit I had to put them on hold. But now we back to norm pretty much and I will be putting my best man on the project right after the holiday. And yes to do our part to save the world and a few tree's from the chainsaw. Our file handles will be made from dead vintage bear bows bd

Weren't there at some point, kits with a Puma knife? If so does anyone have a pix of one?
It's really simple. Just don't take those borderline shots. Tomorrow is another day.

Wade's picture on the first page shows the kit which has the Puma knife. It is the one farthest to the right.

no bear archery never offered the bowhunter kit with a puma knife.Guy's added the knife to their own kit.Fred's kit did have a puma in it in later years. But that puma had been given to Fred as a gift so he kind of felt like he had to use it.As for the actual bowhunter kit there were a couple reasons bear used western knives in them. One they were inexpensive but the real reason was because it was the best knife at the time for the money and the 1095 carbon steel blade sharpend easy as pie with the sharpening stone or with the file ????
and here would be the newest line of the late great Frank Scott bowhunter kit bd
