'64 Kodiak "Wild Thing"
« on: February 09, 2012, 07:10:00 PM »
1964 Kodiak
4CH171
60"
55#

All Original and doesn't appear to have sent many down range. This thing never heard of stress cracks!

Some killer bubinga with awesome grain. I couldn't get the grain to really pop under the inside lighting but the snow is hampering outside pics.

I have been really lucky to score some cool bows over the past few weeks so I just wanted to share another one with you guys.

Nick, you've been putting the time in and it's been paying off.  That is a dandy.

Thanks Guys, I sold my only other '64 a few months ago so this one filled a void on the rack.

Yeah, Nick, I'm really envious!  That's an incredible bow in pristine condition.  I've only kept one '64, and it's got a few beauty marks, but I think it's got potential to be a looker someday.

here's the ugly part:

I'll bet they're both great shooters, but I like yours better!

Nick - you've uncovered a couple of wicked bows the last few weeks for sure!

Have you been buying any PowerBall tickets?

Congrats on some great bows.

55# '64s are really hard to come by.  Almost impossible to find in the condition of yours.

I was fortunate to get one from oldbohhntr in excellent condition, but not near as great as yours.

Best hunting bow Bear ever made.

Congrats on a great find.

Don't know how I missed this thread.

Nick, Your 55# 64' is amazing to say the least.
The finest example I ever saw..........WOW.

Tom, your bow is awesome as well. Those quiver bushings should be put to use..........Go hunting with it!

One of the plainer looking Bears of that era until you shoot one. Suddenly it looks a whole lot better. For someone that knows bubinga the character of yours is pretty easy to see. Nice bubinga is all about subtle character.

Post some daylight pics when you get the chance please.

I am going to sell my 64 to someone who has taken good care of me. I will likely regret it; right now it seems the right thing to do.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the comments on it.

Philip, PM me if you have anything to trade...

Dave, I just took some outside pics for you but they didn't turn that great (light isn't right). I will try again a different day.
