December hunting in Ontario...:)
« on: December 13, 2007, 05:25:00 PM »
Well...it is December, it is Ontario, and it is snowing.
I've been hunting hard, no deer in range but we are seeing them more regular in the last week.

One good thing, the snow helps you figure out the movement of the deer. Also the big cornfield we have been hunting was cut 2 days ago...FINALLY!!!  :)   :)

so...here we are, nice eh?  ;)

That's cool stuff...eh!  ;)  Hunting in the snow just can't be beat!  It's my favorite time of year and conditions to hunt in.  Man, it sure is nice to see where the deer are moving.  Ever try tracking them down like the Benoits do?  Best of luck with the rest of the season.  Matt

Man I don't envy you. Well maybe a little. Our general season is over the last day of Nov. In the county where I live there is another week into Dec. for a primitive season. It's usually cold, at least -20. The Bucks come to rattling pretty good though. I'm usually glad when the season is over just because I'm sick of freezing my butt off. Good Luck
It's really simple. Just don't take those borderline shots. Tomorrow is another day.

Oh ya.  Lots of the white stuff coming this weekend for Ontario.  I will be out there. Still got a buck tag left and two weeks to fill it. Warm boots and gloves and just shiver and wait.  I like it but I think next year I hunt harder in November.

Nice photos Cary!

We have sleet and freezing rain forecasted this weekend.  I would rather have the snow!
