If  you were to have a new out of the box classic 1962 or 1964 to shoot and hunt with, which would you choose and why?

1962 because it was,for me, the most beautiful materials Bear ever put in one package.(yes, the 1960 is in second!)  From a shooting and hunting standpoint.....doesn't matter.

I'm with Tom.  Give me a '62 with that gorgeous brazillian rosewood, arctic grey glass, and remarkable shooting attributes.

Can we split the difference and go with a '63?

Thats tough. But I would have to go with what everybody else is saying. A 1962, I like the rosewood and the black coin, I would specifically want it with the black and white riser back overlays/tips versus the usual gray and white. Beautiful bows. The whole package sells it for me, riser shape, brazilian rosewood (I like it equally in bow handles and guitar backs/sides!), love the gray glass.
