Sovereign Mace
« on: March 03, 2012, 04:05:00 PM »
I have a sovereign Mace I have looked all over trying to find a date for the bow and what it would be worth.  It is a golden series.  Any info would be great.

Made from 1966-1968, 4'10", model #1059 in 1967 (not sure what number was used in other years) draw weights 35-65 lbs., $34.50 in the 1966 & '67 catalogs

The 1967 and later catalogs were called just "Sovereign" - the 1965 and '66 catalogs were called "Golden Sovereign". Maybe your bow is from 1966 - not sure if any of the later years' bows used the same "Golden Sovereign" decals or not. There was a Silver Sovereign line too.

That is cool, I looked online and couldn't find a thing on it.  The bow I have is a 40# at 28" it shoots beautiful just old.  I am looking for a newer bow now so I can step up into the real traditional world.
