Looking for info on Green Stripe B Riser
« on: March 25, 2012, 01:39:00 PM »
I own two sets of Grayling limbs #1 and #3 and one Mag Riser so was thinking about ordering the new Bubinga from Bear. Found this instead on the big auction and with a little clean up it came out real nice. Trying to find out the production date? As near as I can find out here after doing the search is early 80's. Any thoughts or info on the Green Stripe Risers and history would be appreciated!

81'ish Larry.
The earliest and best of the green stripe handles. Thick lams with great fit and finish and a low shelf. PapaBear was there when it was made and that's why the quality control was excellent. The early green stripes are my favorite.
You found a good one. Enjoy.

Excellent Guy's!
Thank You for your thoughts and insight. I have read so much critical info on the new risers and just happened to be in the right place in time for this one. The #3 limbs are giving me 64" of a very sweet pulling nice shooting bow. Appreciate it.

I believe you've got an '80 or '81. I think the later ones had more quiver bushings added.

Here's a later green striper, but regard it just as highly as the earlier ones.  The grip is nice and slim and cut for the arrow to rest right on the hand.
