Question on a K-Mag

Okay guys,I got a k-mag and a grizzly on a package deal because a guy was moving and didn't want to take the bows along, the grizzly is a newer diamondwood and the k-mag is a greenie 1975 I THINK,correct me if I'm wrong,the serial number starts with KV,any way the k-mag had some model glue repairs on a couple of scratches so I'm going to re-do it so I pulled the old strike plate and rug rest off just to check actual weight which was 45 as advertised on the riser, there are also 2 numbers on the shelf,one in front of the blue stripe in the riser it says 38 in white the same as the 45 for the weight under the strike plate,the other number is in red and behind the blue stripe and it appears to be 78, the only odd thing about the bow itself is that the green didn't sink into the whole riser and there is some natural wood color showing, I'm not a bear collector but have had the shelf material off of several and haven't seen multiple numbers under there before anybody know why this was done? I believe the numbers on the shelf are some type of production run numbers. During that time period Bear was producing over 350,000 bows a year so they probably needed some way to keep track of them. The 73-75 Kodiak Magnums had a white overlay on the riser back. The 76-77 had green futurewood overlays.

Cool, thanks, it was something I hadn't seen before and was curious about,it does have the white overlay.
