Seeking Information on Yew TD Limbs
« on: April 30, 2012, 10:14:00 PM »
I had the chance to shoot on an Anniversary A TD bow a set of No. 1 Yew veneered limbs. Were these limbs only applied to the limited run (12) of these anniversary bows or were others available at some point for sale. I would love to find a set as I was truly impressed with their looks and performance. Any help would be appreciated. tom

Are you referring to a Bear TD?

The Signature model?

If so, those limbs were not veneer they were 2 lamination's of yew. There were less than 300 of these bows produced and no spare limbs.

If there was an Anniversary bow I'll have to plead ignorant.

Ron I could of easily gotten confused on the detail its an old age thing for sure. Now that you mentioned the lamination that does make sense. I believe the gentlemen who owned it said it was a hard rock maple core. One thing for sure is that they were very impressive all the way around. Thanks tom.

I believe Three Rivers had Bear archery produce a limited run of takedowns a few years back. They were pretty sweet. Maybe this was what you were shooting.

I believe that this was No. 7 out of 12 that was made. I was totally blown away by this bow and intrigued by the limbs. tom

Tom,
Maybe I can help with that memory loss.  I believe it was an Anniversary Signature model.  Definately not the 3Rivers bow and not the supreme.  Maybe Phillip or another expert could chime in.  It definately was the sweetest shooting and looking bow I had the pleasure to fondle. And those latches sure did look purdy!!

Now it's being called an "Anniversary Signature"
Anniversary of what? When? Pictures?

The Bear Signature TD was 1980 or 1981.

There ya go! I learned something new. Never knew about this bow. Very similar to the Signature.
