Restoration Question
« on: May 21, 2012, 09:52:00 PM »
Hey all-I have an old kodiak magnum, not sure which year. In cleaning it up, I removed the material from the rest. It was a sort of synthetic wooly stuff, in bad shape and sort of wrinkled and folded into itself. It seemed sort of crappy, so I wondered if it might be original to the bow, and if so, what is the stuff? I would think that maybe it was worn down by use to make it so patchy, but the bow looks like it was shot about 20 times and stuck in a closet about the time I was born-it's totally cherry. If it's the real material, what would be an authentic replacement? Thanks.
