1st...Does anyone have a pattern for the leather grip for a 62 Grizzly and the 55-58 Kodiak specials or know where I can get leather already cut. pics of the original 62 Griz grip would help.

2nd...How do you restore the pewter coin?

3rd...What is the original rest and strike plate for a 59 Kodiak special?

If you can find a recent thread on a 1962 Kodiak resto, that person restored the pewter coin with enamel or something. You likely need to clean off the oxidation first and then paint, then cover with finish along with rest of bow.

If you need a picture of what the coin looks like as new, let me know.

Casey - I moved my 62 Kodiak thread back up to the top.  There are photos of the coin restoration.

My friend used Testor's black paint on the pewter coin.  He then rubbed it with something to make the high areas stand out.  He re-installed it prior to spraying the bow.  It turned out pretty nice.

Good luck with the Grizz.  The 62 is one of the best looking.  Love those zebrawood I-beams.  Some of them had black pigskin grips as well.
