Brace height

The 1959 Bear catalog calls for a height of between 6 1/2 and 7 1/2 in. for a 1959 grizzly. I got an AMO 62 string and strung bow - brace height at 5 1/2 in. measured from inside the grip below shelf. My draw length is 32 in. Bow shoots smooth and arrows fly straight. Should I shorten string to increase brace to recommended height or stay with what seems to work very nicely? I am thinking my longer draw is compensating for shorther brace as set up. Comments welcome. Thanx

David,
I would raise the brace height. Shooting too low a brace height could possibly damage the limbs.

Thanks Jack, increased to 7" works great, still smooth but more power and speed off the shelf. Happy shooting C U at KZO?
