In need of original Bear arrows 1963
« on: February 02, 2013, 10:38:00 PM »
I am putting together a hunting outfit for the year I was born. I was born in 1963, and come March I will be 50 years old. I plan to hunt whatever and wherever I can all this year with a 63' outfit. I have acquired a beautiful 63' Kodiak Dogleg, in great shape, as well as the appropriate Bear Razorheads. I am looking for original Bear arrows from that time as well. I know there are a few types available in wood as well as aluminum, and perhaps fiberglass. My desire is to find some of the high grade Bear cedars in the correct spine for my bow. My Kodiak is 55# at 28". I draw about 29.5". I am hoping to find at least a half dozen, so that I have a few for practice and a few for hunting. If they have Razorheads on them, that is OK. If they have field tips, that is fine as well since I have Razorheads already.
Not looking for a freebie. I would pay a fair price for them.
Thanks,
Chuck

So you have the 1960 Bear Razorhead?

You may want to have Trap build you replica arrows. I have the nocks.

Trap is his handle. He makes feather rests and has done some repo Bear and Pearson arrows. Trying to find 1963 Bear can be very difficult because they can vary from what the catalog shows as the customer could have preferences. About the only way to be sure if the arrows were in a box and it had a 1963 date.Nothing that says you can't use a Bear arrow from any previous year.

Thanks again Ron. I look up Trap by his handle. Thanks for the catalogue page too.
It never fails, you always seem to be a wealth of information on here.

Chuck
