Bear A- Mag Restoration

Hey Gang. I posted a while back about a Bear A-Mag resto. A couple of questions I should have asked. First, I'm getting ready to strip the old finish off the riser. Should I remove the coin? If so, what's the best way to do it. Second, do I remove the latch keepers and springs ? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, TonyZ.

You can remove the plastic medallion by putting two razor blades under the edge and applying equal pressure prying up.

I removed the latches and springs on the ones I have refinished.

It can be removed by first removing the sight plate and then just pushing it out from the sight plate side slot.
