Stemmler Vasity III Takedown Recurve
« on: December 10, 2013, 06:07:00 PM »
Hello all!

I recently came across a Stemmler Varsity III Takedown Bow. It is in brand new, never strung or mounted condition. Still in plastic wrap.

It says 66" 28# @28"

I was trying to do some research on this bow and i can find near to nothing!

It has the Indian Archery Instruction page with it, and i found that they went out of business.

My questions are:

How old is it?
Is it collectible?
Is there a way to judge value of it?

It is old.

Not very collectible.

It is worth what someone will pay...no more, no less.  Best way to determine that is to put it on E8AY and let the bidders determine the value.

Sorry...best answer I can give you.

It is from probably early 70's. Yes it is collectable as all the old recurve bows are. Being in the excellent condition it is in, it should bring 75.00 to 150.00. You don't see Stemmler takedowns very often. And you don't find old recurves in the package very often either. Should be a good shooting bow as well.
