Brad, I have several old (type1) and new/newer bear handles in A,B & C lengths. I also have several of the mag risers and am a big fan of those. Some say it is the most versatile bow ever built and I tend to agree. 3 handle lengths, 3 limb lengths, three different grips, add site pins or not, adjustable arrow plate. It can be tuned to suite most anyone (or arrow). The bow doesn't have as much mass weight as a type one but very little difference in the weight between it an the greenstripe and newer bear takedowns. I really like them and the only compliant I ever had was cold in hand in the winter, not a big deal. IMHO
