Help with a Wing
« on: June 30, 2014, 02:42:00 PM »
Hello, I just met someone that has a Wing Archery (Division of Head Ski Inc.) Falcon, Ser# FA 11395. 62" and 40#. The bow is really clean. He said he bought it when he was a teenager. Anyway i told him i would make him a string for it so he could shoot it again, boy did his eyes light up. What i need is some string specs on it. I plan on using B55.

If anyone knows a strand count and brace height i will get this guy shooting again.

Im guessing this bow was made in 1965?

If I were making a string for it I would use 12 strands of B50. Sometimes I use 14 just so the nock seats better but you could also build up the serving for the same effect.

Charlie is correct B50 12 or 14 strand would be period correct.
