Bear Mag riser medallions
« on: August 28, 2014, 11:08:00 AM »
Did all Bear Mag risers '71-'78 have a medallion?  If so, silver or gold color?  Thanks

I am not really into the seventies bows but I believe that the majority had medallions.  I have one with a gold color to it but not so sure that it was not painted silver and just wore or rubbed off.  See the thread on the Grizzly clean up and you can see what I am trying to say.

Anything was possible with Bear bows.  I have a 1960 Kodiak Deluxe that was never drilled for a medallion even though that started putting medallions on them in 1959.

No not all had a coin to start. If it has a hole for a coin it had one. If there is no hole for one it didn't. There where risers out in late 1970 for deals to try. In most cases all had a flock finish, so if has no hole for the coin and does not have the flocked finish it has been repainted.

Larry,
Thanks for the info. Riser has been painted. No indication it had one.
