Arhcery Pendant Fred Bear?

Just received this Archery Pendant. It reads FBB on top of what seems to be medical tape, then 1R just below, and 1956. The one thing that I found on the writing which you can't make out in the picture is the line that comes off the back top of the last "B" in FBB. I would like to find information about a tournament in 1956 that Fred would have participated in. I am coming up dry from internet searches.
