Are these stress lines ok?
« on: March 02, 2015, 02:00:00 AM »
I have the chance to buy a 1960 Grizzly..and before I purchase it I just wanted to get opinions on the stress lines it has. Im not real familiar on old bear bows so any help would be great. Is it something that should concern me..or nothing to worry about? Thanks guys

This is 2 inch stress line on belly of top limb.

And this a 4 inch line on the back of the bottom limb.

Yes, that is what stress lines look like.  If that is all there is, that bow is good to go.  When the lines run longitudinally with the limbs it is generally not a problem.  If you get a crack running across the limb hang the bow on the wall and do not shoot it.
