Is this a 1976 grizzly?

From the research I have done, I believe this to be a 1976 bear grizzly, but I am not entirely sure. What do you all think?

 

Where can I find information on the specs of this bow like if it is radial cut or flat, cut to center, suggested brace height ect?

Nice bow!  Likely decent estimate on the date.  Should shoot great!  Start at 8" for brace.  I am guessing it will like it a bit north of there.

I have owned a bunch of Grizzlies but honestly never paid attention to whether they were center cut.  I can look at my 1972 later and see, but yours may be different.  I shoot mine of that vintage with a bear weather rest

I am guessing it is a 76 based upon this site I found

as the earlier and latter production years look a little different, but I could be wrong.

That site has a ton of information but note on the Grizzlies it skips from 1972 to 1976.  The 1976 picture has bows from 1973-1976 (my opinion).

There are guys who know a lot more than I do about that era.  Hopefully they will chime in but I am going to say 1975 or 1976 on yours.  I have the bear catalog CD somewhere.  I will try to find it and figure out what I can but I don't think you can follow the catalog directly either.

Congrats on a great bow.  I will be shocked if you don't find it a fabulous shooter

That is a good point to note, I wondered about that myself but thought maybe there was a manufacturing gap, seemed unlikely though...

75 or 76. Pretty bow and should be a nice shooter.

Received the bow in the mail this morning and boy am I pleased! Light in the hand with a nice slim grip, just like my old minute man, but man oh man can it cast an arrow!

Something interesting to note is that it has "49" written on it where the striker plate should be glued. Same ink and handwriting as the serial number.

Aside from a scuff and a couple of scratches the bow is in lovely shape, nice and straight limbs and I really enjoy the color,   Thanks for all the help guys, finding out the history is almost as much fun as shooting.

for many years all Bears had the "actual" draw weight written under the strike plate, as AMO allowed marketing the bow in 5 lb increments.

While replaces the rug last night I noticed something else written on the bow. On the shelf there were 3 numbers 667

I forgot to take a pic before I put the new rug on. Anyone know what these numbers mean?

Sorry, I do not.  I have heard theories and they sound plausible.  You don't see those numbers on every bow.  There seems to have been some level of consistent inconsistency in such things LOL.  Or some logic I don't know yet.
