Starfire Recurve / Black Widow
« on: December 18, 2016, 12:07:00 AM »
I just picked up a really nice recurve marked Starfire.
This is not a Groves bow but one that looks like a Black Widow.
I heard that Starfire was a California company that moved to Minnesota in the 80''s. While in MN, Black Widow made some bows for them. Looking for information. I wish I could add pictures but unable to figure it out.

Beautiful bow! Interesting bolt/insert thingamajiggy on the back at the grip, not sure of the purpose at that location. I hate accessory added that require drill holes like the red sight bar that has, it may not bother others though.

To get a bow today with that amount of craftsmanship and beauty is very expensive!
Shooting recurves before recurves were cool
