Two deer my daughter found.
« on: October 05, 2003, 08:20:00 AM »
October 4th, 2003. Kendall County, Illinois. A button buck and a mature doe shot at 7:40 and 7:42 am, respectively. 50 yard recovery on the button, 70 yards on the doe. The button had been "clipped" by someone a few days earlier, so I decided to take him out. The doe turned to see what happened and caught arrow #2.

My daughter bloodtrailed and found them both, with a little help from me and a lot of help from a pair of Zwickey Delta 4-blades. Very heavy bloodtrails.

You see who got to hold the doe in the picture, and who ended up with the button buck? Kids!     :D
