Prayers against deady Cancer
« on: May 14, 2006, 09:20:00 PM »
A neighbor guy I liked, but was somewhat adrift before he moved away, crossed paths today.  Hes' only 40 and showed me a belly zipper where they found colon cancer...got it and didn't have to do the bag...but they found it in a mass also on his liver...and "buckshot" scatterings nearby. They inserted a shunt (?) to administer the chemo soons as  he's strong enough from the surgery on the bowel cancer they got...

his name is Butch Yost.  Recently (18 months) divorced, two boys not in teens yet... and his ex-wife asked him to move home to help with his care..

God is good and from this, perhaps healing can occur...but this man needs our prayers for both physical/medical healing but also his own spiritual healing and Divine insights.

Thanks folks... my heart's heavy on this one.

Doc, it sounds like your friend has been through the mill. My dad had colon cancer and in the sixteen years since he passed it seems like they have come a long way in the success rate for it. He and yourself will be in my prayers.

In Jesus name we proclaim life for Butch, and by His stripes may Butch be healed! Thank you Jesus for your mercies are new every day!

boy's only 42... whichi s older'n some like JC..but a pup to me!   :D

Butch is a lost li'l puppy right now...he struggles with depression, self worth issues and beleiving God will be there for him...

Large part of my prayers is that this situation brings him closer... now that he's up the road a piece, I have to make it my biz to get there nuff to keep encouraging him... He's so focused on "results" in life..process success has eluded him me fears...

Prayers the Lord can use this situation to bring more healing than just his innards... Lord can..if Butch will but believe...

Doc cancer is a very evil thing that I know for sure. He has my prayers for all he needs. Keep strong doc and I know God will use you to His will. God bless you my Brother. <><

Lord it is in you we trust, not by might but by Spirit and we ask your Holy Spirit to move mightly in Butchs life, remind Butch who he is in you, that he is a child of the King of Kings and NO weapon formed against him shall prosper. It's in your wonderful name Jesus we pray!

Thanks, Guys! Butch weighs on my mind.  CAncer is but one of his struggles.  I try to contact him, leaving messages, but either he's in a bad place emotionally and shutting down, or things have taken a turn for the worse.

He's asked I always call first..and I do but he never answers and hasn't called back.

Dear Heavenly Father,
Help me to persevere, Lord, and witness to Butch of your Love as you'd have me do. guide me Lord. I'm at a loss as how to proceed while respecting his wishes. Hear our prayers, oh, Lord.

Doc, Sometimes we have to just follow the Spirit and let His will prevail over protocols. I am thinking of those fellows that busted a hole in the roof of the house that Jesus was staying at so they could lower the lame man by ropes to be healed of Jesus.  I don't think the owner wished for his roof to be mutilated but sometimes " a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do." I am sure that the anointing and God's love will lead you to do the right thing.  My prayers are with you.

In His Love and Service,
peace

My grandma was taken from colon cancer at 49 (before I was born) and Frank's dad as well in 2000 (cancer throughout his stomache and colon) so we do know the pain and desire to help and be there for friends and family....I truly believe that through prayer & faith, the Lord will honor what He promises when he directs us to do these in His name. God bless you and Butch and his family are in our prayers as well. God Bless Doc for being there for him.  Shell
