Friend's cancer surgery
« on: July 25, 2006, 10:43:00 AM »
Folks,

I'd offered up two friends here before... both with cancer in early 40's...    :(

Tomorrow is my newest friend, Allan's prostate cancer surgery. They caught it early, and he is strong with faith... but naturally still scared.

I Pray and ask your voices to be lifted along with mine for the Great Physician to guide those surgeons hands in that delicate region, get all the cancer, that it might be totally localized, and that he have no nerve involvement from the surgery and he heals fast and well.  Lord, in your mercy hear our prayers...

If you'd renew prayers for Butch, too, with his colon cancer surgery having been successful but now this chemo for inoperable liver masses remains a challenge for him and his faith is nowhere as strong as Allan's.

Thanks!

Father this is way beyond us but it is a chip shot for you; as my brother has asked, may your hand of mercy be on both Allan and Butch!

Prayers up from Georgia.

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside thoroughly used up, totally worn out, with bible in hand and loudly proclaim...WOW...What a Ride!!!

No updates yet... I won't try to contact allan so soon after surgery and we're really quite new friends/associates through some work I did at the church where he works... I promised to give him a week.

Butch...well, I'd had an email...but it was rather rambling.  I don't know what to think. It will be God's will for him to make it with all the tumors on his liver.   :(  God's will is perfect so I trust in it and pray that if it is not God's will to HEAL Butch, that He will cover that man up with the HOly Spirit that he knows the Lord's love and forgiveness and will find peace in being in God's presence.
