Just a Good Thought or Prayer
« on: September 26, 2006, 07:52:00 AM »
I just had my "Official Social Security Disability Hearing" Yesterday. This has been coming since  2004 , and may take Up to  4 Months  to get the Ruling. I guess after 2 Years, I can wait a Month or 2, or 4.
I am Hopeful, but it could Still Go Either way. I Hope & Pray for "My Future" to be a Normal and Happy One. That I can Still be Involved with the Things I Love, Trad. Archery, and Everything that has to do with Archery.
I Thank You  ALL  From The Bottom of My Heart!!
TradGang  has been a  BIG  Influence on my Trying to get My Life Back in Order. All of  YOUR  Help and Friendship, has pulled me through some  VERY  Tough Times!!
                THANK YOU ALL!!!

Will keep you in my daily prayers.

I remember a dear friend who championed for life limited kids, when asked "why?" he said simply, "Someone told me to do it..." My head about snapped around and nearly hurt myself...the others didn't quite "get it."

All I can say by way of reply to you, Bill, is to say that "someone told me to come here as often as possible..."  I don't have much to give to folks like I would like to..but I can always come here and read, say a prayer, share a thought, and even ask for help for self and others and move on..

You will have my prayers for a speedy resolution and positive one to your appeals.  With your heart and spirit, I know you'll "pay it forward" when things get more stable.

Keep the Son in your eyes and we got your back!

Prayers sent for the right ruling for you, my friend.
Doc, never say you have little to give. You have given a lot to many on here, myself included.

You guys gonna make me bleed to death through my face! Thank you for those warm, wonderful thoughts.

Again, left to my own devices, I'd be nothing. If I do evidence a whisp of grace, it's only God working through me, sometimes when I don't even know it.

As for "positive outlook", they say that Stepping Out in community helps us achieve goals.  If I try to speak in this great community with conviction of belief in God's plan, then I kinda have extra incentive to believe it.  :)

Having said that, I see myself like the carpenter hammering on a house and a preacher walks by as the man viciously hits his thumb with the hammer and grimaces...with his head down. The preacher is impressed cause he'd seen so many cuss when that happens.

As the preacher approaches the man and congratulates him for not cussin, the man simply looks at the preacher in the eye and says, "aren't we responsible for what we think, too?"  Under my breath, in my heart, I'm not always so positive... I stumble a LOT!!

Sometimes, I'm just trying to pump myself up to be positive. I've got a lot of struggles, especially thse past 2 years or so...lots of growing to do..some done, more to go.

What I can do is try to reach out while I wile away the hours as an unemployed bum!

I wish I could do more...but we never know what small jesture turns into a big deal to someone else.

That is, IMHO, God working through us so "Thanks be to God" that He chooses to use this "rusty vessel" (thanks JC)for a moment here and there to do something good.  I wish I could take the credit, but all Glory belongs to Him!

Well put, friend Dave, as usual. It's good for all of us to "see it from all sides" as all of us have our good and bad days. We can always use a kind word or two, and we certainly can afford to share a few of them too - even when we can't afford anything else. God bless both Doc and Shakes. Bless you all, bless us all.

Father God, we know that thou are able to give Bro. Shakes favor among men. We ask the angels in heaven be dispersed unto his cause, that the Holy Spirit move in his favor, and that his enemies be used to his benefit.  We ask this that you may be glorified in his life, and we praise you for this and all other blessings in Jesus name, Amen.

In His Love and Service,
peace
