Prayer for my family
« on: January 25, 2007, 01:37:00 PM »
My father-in-law was recently diagnosed with cancer and has been given a short time to live. My prayer is that the remainder of life that the Lord has given him can be spent in joy even though there is pain envolved. He has been a hard working man all his life managing cotton gins in W. Texas and only recently retired at the age of 76. He is going through  chemo/radiation treatment daily at Lubbock,Tx.  But be in prayer for my wife and her family that they allow God to lead them in all the decisions to be made and that the Lord will remain the focus throughout this ordeal. What a joy it is to have hope in the midst of tormoil, that there is light when darkness wants to overwhelm and to think that some day believers will enter into that eternal rest based on what our Redeemer has done and is doing. Thanks... John

Possum,

You post brings back some tough memories of less than 2 years ago about my own Mom's illness.

May the Lord grant your daddy-in-law and the whole family that PEACE that passess all understanding and keep you all wrapped tightly in His loving arms.

Prayers too for healing, if that be His will...

John:
Always rely on the One that blesses us - He will never give us more than we can handle.  Psalm 91 is a short, relevant and powerful message.  My prayers are with you and for you.
