Prayers
« on: February 21, 2007, 11:33:00 PM »
I am a police officer.  I am sitting at work listening to the police radio and overheard an incident that had occurred about 25 miles north of me.
The officer called out “Shots Fired"
The next officer on the scene called for a medic and that he had two down.
I later heard a supervisor state that the officer had been shot but looked OK and the suspect was dead.
I know this officer,  I have trained with him several times in the past.
Would you good folks please pray for both parties and both sets of families?
It is tragic that someone is so desperate that they have to get into a shootout with the people that are sworn to uphold the law and protect all citizens.
Thanks, Sgt. James Coffey

In todays world, I don't know how you guys do what you do... it seems that society has put the handcuffs on YOU brave men and women trying to be that "fine blue line."

Prayers are extended for your fallen commrade, his family and that of the perp and his family.

Thank you for what you do. Prayers with all our officers in blue and those in fire, EMT and other selfless service who don't get the thanks they deserve.
The words "Child" and "terminal illness" should never share the same sentence! Those who care-do, others question!

thanks to all.  The injuried officer is in recovery at this time and expected to fully recover at this time.   He has a long recovery ahead of him,  mentally and physicaly    He took 4 rounds.  1 to the lower gut area,  two to the buttocks area and one to the leg.

So, please keep him in your prayers.
