prayers for my freind Dave.
« on: April 04, 2007, 07:29:00 PM »
Dave is a coworker but also a freind.

Today at the shop he shows me a article about an artist in Newyork that made a chocolate sculpted Jesus.
There is a Catholic group aposing the sculpting and demanding he not show it in public.
While at the brake table the other fellas tear into the catholic group and the faith itself. I sat by listening to all of this quitely and Dave shoves me in the conversation with a "well what do you think of it" and he knows full well I'm catholic. I said I really don't care about the artist, he does live in the usa and has the right to sculpt whatever and whomever he chooses. I was a little heated in my tone but none the less respectfull. Dave says whooo don't get angry with me,,,,Then they all went on about the faith again, Dave made a comment about all of them catholics being satan worshipers,,,,,,,SAY WHAT,,,,,,, yes he said that. Now my blood preasure hit the roof "I felt my face turn red like a hot tom on a spring mornin" but instead of blowing a gasket I let it ride knowing well his ignorance on faith.

Later back on a machine repair I was quite he says are you mad about that artist I said " that artist can do whatever he wants to do I really don't care but,,, in the cafateria you had completely insulted me, my wife and my children and the rest of my family by calling us a bunch of satan worshipers. he abruptly said "NO" I said " Dave you said what you said you can't take it back but I can forgive you and he started to rumble on about how he's not talking to me about this ever again and I said I've never preached to you, I've never tried to convince you of gods love for you because I know about your prference of faith. Buy now he's really realing and backing up and mumbling I said "I'm talking to you like a man if you can't comunicate I can't make you,, he was abviously very uncomfy at the moment. Well it got dropped right then and there with a whatever from him several times in a row like he really didn't know what to say. We'll probably never speak again about it but my prayers are with him tonight for peace in his heart and in his mind. I would really appreciate it if ya'll could send him a prayer.

Take care Jason B.

Often times folks get all messed up talking feelings and religion...

Personally, I'd say anything anymore portrays Christ ina dignified manner, in whatever medium, chocolate, butter, or whatever, it's an expression hopefully, of love and reverence...

But to attack a denomination for some position of a few is intolerance.  I've kept quiet on this one but now offer prayers of insight, healing and discernment for many mentioned in this message.
The words "Child" and "terminal illness" should never share the same sentence! Those who care-do, others question!
