Jonesy - This is kinda of strange, I never thought I would be praying for an animal.  However my dog too is in the final stages of cancer and last night my heart and prayers where for my dog,  it was strange and was not sure how to pray, a whole new experience for me.  But God gave me words and an understanding, so yes my friend I will pray for your dog and you!

God made all that exists, so He must love dogs as well as us.  Not a sparrow falls that He doesn't know. May the peace that passess all understanding keep you as you say good-bye to this important friend of so many years.
The words "Child" and "terminal illness" should never share the same sentence! Those who care-do, others question!

Looking at the same thing with our 17 year old (dog that is). We do get attached to them. Prayers sent.
