Fellow archer
« on: August 13, 2007, 04:40:00 PM »
Over the weekend i went to the Muzzy 3D shoot, I had the pleasure of meeting and shooting with a man named Walter Quick. He was very nice but it didn't take me long to realize that he was not well. he told me that he had just finished up five days of chemotherapy, and was having a hard time. He said that he was not going to make up any excuses. He kept asking God to help him keep going, the only thing I could do to help him out was to retrieve all the arrows, he said he appreciate that and thanked me. I noticed on his way that he would stop and pick up some of the vegetation that was in the area and smell of it, he said it was his herbal therapy he also was eating wild rasp berries, and just enjoying his time in the outdoors. He made quite an impression on me with his friendly mannerism and his no quit attitude. He told me later that he had undergone three brain surgeries when he took off his hat i saw his scars. Please send out a prayer for this man thank you.

Prayers sent. May God grant us all the strength and faith like this gentleman.

Prayers sent from Ga.
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside thoroughly used up, totally worn out, with bible in hand and loudly proclaim...WOW...What a Ride!!!

Lord, this awful cancer attacks so many among us. We beseach you to reach down and minister to Walter as he continues to reach out to You and rely on You as your servant.

According to Your plan, Lord, help him heal and enjoy whatever time you have planned for him so that he may witness to your power and glory.
amen.

Walter sounds like someone we should try and model in our lives.

Prayers sent for Walter, asking God to comfort him and strengthen him. And to continue his strong witness.

Has anyone heard any news about how Walter is doing? I'm hoping to see him at the Muzzy this year.
